Celebrating the life of
William Thomas Burke
January 28, 1942 - April 25, 2006
William Thomas Burke, 64, died April 25, 2006 at Candler Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born January 28, 1942, the son of Willie Mae Burke and the late Aaron J. Burke.
Tommy was a life long resident of Savannah and an avid sports fan. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and the Shag Club. We are sure he is teaching the Angels in heaven new dance steps.
He is survived by the joy of his life, his children and grandchildren; son, William Thomas Burke, III and daughter-in-law, Tammy; son, Jackie Burke; grandchildren, Bobby Ray McKenzie, Michael, Mitchell and Aaron Burke and Chadia Abori-thiah. He is also survived by his mother, Willie Mae Burke; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Rick Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Though this physical body might be gone, his loving happy spirit will be with us forever.
